The quality of work delivered by the service departments of both the Airmarine and Propulsion Engineering divisions is legendary in the Great Lakes region and beyond. Here's why: OUTBOARD/STERNDRIVE PROPELLERS Airmarine--our flagship outboard/sterndrive division--utilizes time-tested traditional repair techniques to service both aluminum and stainless steel propellers, as well as inboard propellers that measure less than 15" in diameter. We start with a straightening process that restores damaged blade shape through factory-quality pitch blocks. Then, propellers are welded to replace lost or damaged material. We never weld pieces or components of aluminum or steel to your propeller, we flow completely new material onto damaged portions of the blade(s). This provides a tougher and more durable repair. After the damaged material has been replaced, we use stock patterns to grind your blades to original shape and size, adding cup or special elements (such as vent holes) as needed or requested. Then, your propeller is painted or polished based on its original manufacturing characteristics. Our thoroughly experienced and knowledgeable technicians are specifically trained to work within this process, so you can be sure that your repair will be correct every time. INBOARD PROPELLERS
Our experienced technicians use the Prop Scan computerized system to repair or remanufacture both new and damaged inboard propellers. The process involves a calibrated technique through which a propeller is scanned numerous times during the repair process until it conforms with ISO standards at a minimum of Class 1. Numerous blade radii are scanned to ensure consistency and accuracy throughout the entire propeller. By recognizing and tuning inaccuracies in pitch, camber, tracking, spacing, and design, the Prop Scan system can increase speed, increase overall performance, reduce fuel consumption, eliminate propeller vibration, synchronize multiple engines, and provide repeatable results. We offer initial performance and analysis scanning, as well as propeller recommendations, at no charge. For more information on the Prop Scan technique, please visit the Prop Scan website here or contact us. PARTS If your lower unit needs repair, including skeg or cavitation plate reconstruction, we provide services to repair or replace damaged materials. We also service components related to your boat propellers: such as couplers, shafts, struts, and bearings. Contact us here to find out more. WWW.THERIGHTPROP.COM
